Hot-dip galvanized steel coil (GI) undergoes a process where cold rolled steel coils are passed through a molten bath of zinc at temperatures around 460 degrees Celsius. The resulting product, hot-dip galvanized steel coils, is classified and designated based on various quality parameters.
We offer GI coils/sheets in thicknesses ranging from 0.30 mm to 3.70 mm and widths from 650 mm to 1350 mm, with varying galvanization levels from 70gsm to 300gsm.
Our supply of hot-dip galvanized (GI) coils adheres to international standards, including ASTM A653/A653M, JIS G 3302, and BS EN 10346:2009, which supersedes BS EN 10327:2004 and BS EN 10326:2004.
Applications for hot-dip galvanized steel coils are extensive and include use in construction for steel framing, false ceilings, sandwich panels, ducting, decking, purlins, HVAC applications, doors, cladding/siding, building accessories, sliding shutters, gas station canopies, pre-fabricated buildings, and billboards. Additionally, they find applications in white goods such as refrigerators, deep freezers, washing machines, air coolers, and cooking ovens, as well as automotive components, furniture, containers (grain silos, drums & barrels, crash guards/handrails), and GC roofing and façade solutions.
